FaTFAT TROUT TRAILER PARK is a post-punk response to modern life.
With a cutthroat, riff-heavy approach, tracks are capable of evolving into brutalist anti-capitalist monoliths like forthcoming single "BELT", or the sprawling anarchic brawl of the debut EP anchor "Gold".
In either case, beyond the noise is an incisive critique of contemporary society. Economic and environmental violence are looming presences; depression rears its head and hedonism spirals out of control as FAT TROUT TRAILER PARK interrogates its overarching theme: 21st century disillusionment.
With "BELT" due to arrive in early summer and a sophomore EP to follow, FAT TROUT TRAILER PARK stands to continue its assault on Wall Street culture, cronyism and the phoney meritocracy, while frequently retreating to review the inner turmoil of the individual in such disturbing times.
Until then, the band continues its ascent through the New York City live schedule, cutting a formidable force in a city in the early throes of a new era of guitar-driven dissidence.
